You used to need a gym membership to be able to do spin classes, but with cycle studios popping up all over Melbourne, that’s now a thing of the past.  We’ve rounded up our favourites places to get on yer bike (well, technically someone else):

The Art of Cycling in Yarraville – offers classes daily with a quirky cafe for a healthy meal fix when you finish.

KX Cycle in Richmond – another one to add to the growing KX brand. The KX folks sure how to make fitness fun. They combe traditional cycle classes with an upper body workout, and they do yoga classes too. We love the unique cycle and yoga combo (and suspect we’ll see more of this popping up around town), with yoga providing the perfect way to unwind after a high intensity spin class.

ProSport Fitness in Richmond – if you want to take your spin workout to new heights, literally, you need look no further than the altitude chamber at ProSport Fitness. Their altitude circuit classes will have you walking out on an adrenaline, sorry, mountain high wanting to go back for more!

Spin Star in Prahran – not only a spin studio, but now offering rowing classes to give you a  full body workout, this little studio has everything to cater to your fitness needs.

Cycle Collective in Richmond – with free beginners classes this is a great place to start if you’re keen to give cycling a go. They’ll test your fitness to determine which classes are right for your level.

BodyCycle in South Yarra – Australia’s first studio to implement the Performance IQ that tracks your performances throughout every class, it is easier than ever to see how your fitness is progressing.

The Spin Room in Fitzroy North – this studio in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne was the first in the world to offer Watt bikes to its clients.

Spin 2 Win in the CBD – Offers a more intimate class, where the instructor really takes the time to pay attention to improving your fitness capabilities.

Well, what are you waiting for? Get spinning!
